Sexological Bodywork is a form of somatic (body-based) sex education, where the body is not seen as something to be ‘fixed’ as in many traditional bodywork therapies but something to be listened to and learned from.
Although many sexual ‘dysfunctions’ are manifested in the body, many of us live our sexuality mainly in the head, while the body is just the object that serves the purpose of satisfaction. Sexological Bodywork seeks to assist individuals in becoming more ‘erotically embodied’, that is more present and connected to their bodies and erotic energy. Through this we can become aware of and address any fears or blockages, expand our experience of the sensual and erotic and tap into our true potential.
Ruby May is a Berlin-based Sexological Bodyworker. She returns to London to offer sessions between 12th and 15th March 2012.
