In this beginners workshop we start right at the beginning (so don’t worry if you’ve never seen a bit of rope before), covering the history of Shibari, safety considerations and equipment needs before moving onto a few very basic knots.
From there we take a structured approach to basic and easy-to-learn Shibari techniques, which by the end of the day we’ll be combining to create intricate whole-body binds such as Hogties, Agura (Sitting) and Ebi (Shrimp) binds. The focus is very much on giving you the knowledge and techniques necessary for you to be able to start using Shibari.
With every booking you receive a professionally-printed booklet covering equipment and safety information, as well as step-by-step photos of the basic binds covered during the workshop. So, even if you forget a few bits and pieces on the way home, you won’t be left in a tangle.
During this workshop participants will both tie and be tied during the day.
