Plans for Winter & Spring
Sacred Pleasures celebrated its 7th birthday at the start of August this year. We’ve had an amazing time with you for these seven years, exploring kink, sexual liberation, transformation and community. Thank you to every single one of you who’ve been part of our journey so far, it’s been exhilarating to walk this path with all of you.
A few months ago we announced that things are in a process of transition and that the future of SP is unclear. Because we know that the work is important to you, we put together a beautiful Interim Programme while we dive into the unknown with this transition. That Interim programme is now fully up and running on our new website and you can read all about it here.
Our last workshop in the Interim Programme is Marti’s exciting solo début, Take The Reins, on 2/3 December. Marti has been part of Sacred Pleasures since 2013 and we are really excited to host her first solo workshop in partnership with her new venture The Sound of Birch. If you're a woman and you want a powerful and empowering experience, we highly recommend it.
While Marti's empowering women in London, Newman will spend the Winter out of the UK. To learn more about Newman’s ongoing journey and what they have lined up in Australia and New Zealand, please read their blog post.
With this in mind, SP is going to ‘go dark’ for a few months after Marti's workshop. It makes sense for us to have a little pause this Winter and we hope it isn't too upsetting for our loyal followers. It gives us space to look at the future with clear eyes, which can be difficult when there's so much going on!
And we do have a couple of nice things lined up for next Spring. When Newman comes back from their travels, they’re excited to offer the last ever London edition of The Purple Door on 24/25 March. This classic intro to conscious kink has been offered 13 times in 5 locations and it’s nearly time for it to retire. The London edition begins the 2018 Purple Door retirement tour, with plans to visit other European cities later in the year.
After The Purple Door we have our ‘big one’: Dancing in the Dark, a week-long residential retreat led by Dossie Easton and Newman Alexander. This deep dive into the shadow, fuelled by Kundalini and incorporating conscious kink, constellations, psychodrama and Shamanic journeying, is going to be a great event. We’re so excited about it that it’s online already - click on the button to find out more about this groundbreaking week away.
Beyond this things are still fuzzy, although there’s an idea forming for the rest of 2018: a series of guest presenters from Germany, Holland and the US offering workshops on their own and in partnership with our core team. We don’t want to say too much about this yet, as it’s still embryonic, but that’s it looks like things might go.
On that note, we'd love you to tell us a bit more about what SP is for you and what you’d like to see more of in the future. Please take a few minutes to complete our Community Survey so we can learn more about your needs and better serve them.
Nothing stays still for long and we're nervously excited about the future. Thanks for being part of this incredible adventure. We look forward to sharing Sacred Pleasures with you again soon.
